Inspired North East is working with local church congregations to help achieve a sustainable future for church buildings in the North East: as living places of worship, buildings used and enjoyed by local communities, welcoming places for tourists and pilgrims, and unique heritage assets.
About Inspired Futures
Thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, this project is working with a number of targeted churches around the North East to develop opportunities for heritage conservation, improvements to facilities and access, and open up potential for wider community use. Ian Bapty is now in post as Project Officer. Click here for more information.
The Project Officer will also continue the work of Inspired North East in advising parishes in Newcastle Diocese on finding sustainable futures for their church buildings.
